Hang Wallcoverings (Specialist Papers)

As an experienced paperhanger, you have already mastered the art of standard wallpapering. But now it’s time to take your skills to the next level. This course will allow you to tackle challenging wallcoverings such as silk, wool stand, flock, hessian, Lincrusta, and hand-printed paper.

By developing specific techniques for each type of wallcovering, you will be able to handle even the most difficult projects with ease. The course will help you to prepare surfaces, select the appropriate paste, and work around electrical fittings and pipework. Additionally, you will learn about quantity calculations and suitability assessments for surfaces and specialised wallcoverings.

I did the intro and advanced course a while back and found it brilliant. It’s given me the confidence to pick up the gun and start using it more and more, whereas before I’d probably only spray once or twice a year. I’m out here now spraying jobs that I wouldn’t even thought of spraying prior to training. For me the best things about the courses is eliminating the trial and error on live jobs, making mistakes and ‘learning as you go’ I found to be pretty costly and time consuming if it goes wrong! I attended the City and guilds course at the end of last year and found it a great experience ! The small group and constant practice really helped to drum in the different techniques ! Ian’s always asking questions for you to answer to see if it’s all sinking in and you leave feeling a lot more confident and excited to get back to work !
