PaintTech Course Assured by City & Guilds

Airless Spray Plaster Course

This 2-day course will start at 9am and aim to finish around 5pm.

This course is aimed at decorators, plasterers, or any other trade interested in spraying airless plaster. We are completely independent and able to discuss the various different products available that can be sprayed.

The course includes practical and written assessments, forming part of our City & Guilds Assured Programme. If anyone requires additional help to complete the written assessment, please get in contact and we can discuss how we can help.

Successful completion of the assessments is compulsory to finish this City & Guilds Assured Programme. However, those who do not complete it on the day will receive a PaintTech Training Academy certificate of participation and be given an opportunity to attend an additional assessment day.

You will cover the following:

  • Taping & Jointing
  • Internal & External
  • Corner joints
  • Health & Safety
  • Setting up the machine
  • Practical Spraying and
  • Trowling
  • Cleaning & Maintenance
  • Fault Findings
  • Second Coat Plaster
  • Systems
  • Sanding corners and machine sanding
  • Spraying paint over plaster
  • Practical Assessments

You will cover the following:

  • Students will know about health and safety regarding spray plaster
  • Students will know about tools, products and machines available
  • Students will be able to spray plaster walls and ceilings
  • Students will be able to smooth off the spray plaster will either a trowel or spatula
  • Students will be able to finish corners correctly
  • Students will be able to carry out basic machine maintenance
  • Students will be able to abrade the plaster by hand or machine sander
