Our marbling course is designed to provide you with the essential skills and knowledge required to master the art of marbling. During the two-day course, you will learn how to assess surfaces, refine finishes, and prepare paint and scumble products. You will be trained by a marbling industry specialist, helping you build your knowledge. By the end of the course, you will have produced four marbles on panels that you can take away as samples to show your customers. These samples will include a simple white and grey marble, a Vert de mer, a Sienna marble, and a black and gold marble.
Additionally, you will apply additional techniques to your sample panels to give depth and texture to your marble. Through hands-on training, you will develop an understanding of materials such as oil-based and acrylic scumble, artist oils, and acrylic colours. The course will also provide technical insight into the marbling process, covering the application of protective glazes and varnishes and the impact of atmospheric conditions on coating applications.
